Wet Room Facilities cont.
The
operating buttons for this Redring Selectronic shower were designed in conjunction
with the RNIB. Audible signals indicate when the desired water temperature
has been reached. Pushing buttons carries out all operations; there are no
levers. The temperature panel has a large digital display for the hard of
hearing.
The Redring showerhead can be moved to a height-adjustable holder near to the WC, so that it can be used as a bidet.
The shiny panel on the wall above the WC is a sensitive press button control
for flushing the pan. A smaller amount of water is released if the smaller
section of the panel is depressed.
There
is an armrest on both sides of the WC, and the toilet roll holder can be fitted
on either of them. The height of the arms is adjustable and they can be repositioned
along the tracking if the space between them needs to be changed. Pressilt
Care, the manufacturers,
tell
me the arms are strong enough to be used as a support by a gentleman standing
in front of the WC. The arms are also easily folded up out of the way to allow
for left or right access to the WC. We are able to remove the arm mechanism
completely and reposition it on the window wall tracking if a strong support
is needed beside the hand basin.
